Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is an ancient healing art form that has been practised for over 2000 years and is based on the Taoist principles of Yin and Yang.
In TCM we utilise different ways of keeping yin and yang in balance inside the body and between yourself and the environment.
We see the body as a complex, dynamic interplay or these governing forces with Yin, Yang, Qi and blood constantly circulating and moving throughout pathways inside the body called meridians.
Very fine single use sterile needles are placed into specific acupuncture points along meridian pathways to move Qi and Blood, which bring Yin and Yang into balance in the energetic and physical body. These needles shift blockages, nourish or reduce depending on how they are used and combined.
There are over 365 points on the body that are commonly used in acupuncture! 12 major meridians and 72 meridians all together!
